LEAF seedling sale takes off!

COVID-19 single-handedly shut down LEAF’s Earth Day Celebration, along with the kickoff of our annual plant sale. But with 3200 seedlings to sell, LEAF Nursery Manager Elaine’s entrepreneurial spirit kicked in. She collaborated with Joyce (LEAF’s propagator) and Mayank and Irshad (LEAF board members) to create a no-contact sales process to ensure COVID-19 regulations were adhered to.

Our no-contact seedling sale is in full swing. Here's how to order veggies, herbs and pollinator-friendly flowers.

Gardeners can complete the entire sales process by looking at the plant catalog, submitting the order form and submitting payment all online. They’ll receive a confirmation email with a link to select a time slot for curbside pickup of their plants at LEAF’s C.R. Stone Garden. The response has been overwhelming – we already have orders for 55% of the inventory in just the first two weeks!

In addition to veggies, herbs and pollinator-friendly flowers, you can also pick up a LEAF Earth Day T-shirt and tote. Sales of honey were amazing and it’s already sold out.

  1. Hi! I’m a resident of Fremont. Was interested in buying your produce. And also the local honey when it would be available. How do I get in touch with someone. I prefer talking if at all possible. Thanks.

    1. Hi! Honey will be offered in the catalog with seedlings. We’re hard at work getting the new catalog and order process set up, so no one’s available to talk. Sign up on our mailing list and if the process isn’t clear, there should be a ‘contact us’. If not, email LEAF at info@fremontleaf.org. The sale announcement will be in our October newsletter.
