Students For LEAF
2025 Summer Program
will be open for enrollment
in March 2025

Students for LEAF is one of our focus educational programs designed to nurture young people's interests in environmental conservation, regenerative agriculture, and biological sciences. We’re developing the next generation of leaders to solve the many challenges the world is facing such as climate change, food insecurity, and water conservation.

The “LEAFlets” apprentice in our gardens, not only learning about plant science, horticulture and soil science, but gaining hands-on skills that give them confidence to grow their own food and connect with the natural environment.

This program is designed to be broad, allowing students to experience many aspects of the natural world like:

-
Beekeeping and pollinators
-
Bumble Bee Community Science Project
-
Regenerative gardening practices
-
Composting including worm composting
-
Harvesting and making food - Farm to Table
-
Propagating plants from seed and cuttings
-
Botanical illustration and much much more…

Comment from Sydney, one of the Leaflets, "Being a student at Students for LEAF was a great experience where I was able to learn very hands-on about regenerative agricultural practices. The group of students was small which allowed us to make connections and all learn together in a supportive and teamwork environment. Everyday there was always something new to learn and left you feeling fulfilled that you were a part of making an impact on the community by donating food to local food banks and acquiring important knowledge that can be used to better improve the Earth."
